Redesign Lab

Co-founder and Director of Innovation (CIO), since 2021

Redesign Lab is a Latin American impact venture studio specialised in the bioeconomy, founded in 2021. Since April 2026 it presents itself as «The AI Studio for Bioeconomy Industries».

Its portfolio reached USD 26 million in revenue in 2025, with 28% growth over 2024. It has developed 10 bio-businesses, with more than 2,500 families in their value chains. They include Cotton Nation and Neofibers, where I was COO.

Redesign Lab has been part of the Claude Partner Network, the partner network of Claude, since March 2026. It brings AI into its methods and into the companies it supports. My role is to identify where technology speeds up the scaling of a bio-business, and its evaluation when investment is involved.

AI tools

  • The Bio Business Kit, an open Claude plugin in Spanish, English and Portuguese, with more than 70 explanatory cases and a dossier for each business.
  • Adversarial agents that challenge the diagnosis, the cash flow assumptions, the projections and the go-to-market, as a committee would.
  • Tools for costing, cash scenarios, the funder dossier and portfolio monitoring.
AI speeds up the preparation. Judgement, the relationship with the funder and the field visit remain in human hands.

Also at Redesign Lab

  • Operator of the CCE Hub Peru of the Coalition for Climate Entrepreneurship, with Universidad del Pacífico.
  • Circular Club: the study «¿Es rentable la circularidad en América Latina?» (Is circularity profitable in Latin America?), with 15 business cases modelled and 132 public cases reviewed. I built its financial models.
