  1. Topic 1Investable bio-businesses, for whom? The right capital for each business.

    Key idea: Each type of capital asks for something different, from working capital to a fund. Being ready for investment means being ready for a specific capital, and the grey zone leaves out companies with customers and margins.

  2. Topic 2From the field to the investment committee: what an operator sees in a business plan.

    Key idea: The real unit cost, with losses and freight, and the harvest cash cycle decide the fate of a plan. Capacity and supply are solved before growth.

  3. Topic 3Scaling bio-businesses in the field.

    Key idea: Logistics, supply, coordination and quality add layers of complexity. Traceability has to be designed for fragmented producers.

  4. Topic 4The order of capital: blended finance and nature finance.

    Key idea: Each layer of capital expects a different return and takes a different risk. Private capital comes in through businesses with cash flow.

  5. Topic 5AI as a second pair of eyes before capital.

    Key idea: Agents can challenge the cash assumptions, the projections and the go-to-market as a committee would. Judgement, the relationship with the funder and the field visit are still human work.

  6. Topic 6, secondary topicSustainability in industry, by the numbers.

    Key idea: Waste valorisation and water and energy efficiency are prioritised by return. Some circularity projects pay for themselves, and the mass balance shows which ones.
